On Sunday, April 3,
2005, the Anglican Fellowship launched a new chapter of
Daughters of the King. The Chapter of Ruth was instituted in
recognition of Ruth from the Old Testament. The president of
Daughters of the King from the Diocese of Florida came to
recognize our women for their profound commitment to prayer.
Accompanying her, several other daughters from throughout the
Diocese of Florida attended this special event. Our new chapter
of Daughters of the King will soon begin a training course to
respond to the number of women who would like to commit
themselves and their lives to the order and a life of
disciplined prayer and service to our mighty King. Among those
interested in becoming Prayer Warriors are a number of teen-aged
young women.
In addition to responding to the local needs of our Lord's
women, the Chapter of Ruth of the Daughters of the King hopes to
institute a chapter of the Daughters in the Diocese of Recife,
Brazil. |
